Guy Bardone (b.1927)
Guy was born in 1927 in Saint-Claude, France. His vocation as a painter was confirmed after admission to the Ecole National Supérieure des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. Here he trained under Brianchon, Cavailles and Desnoyer. He was
awarded the prestigious Prix Félix Fénéon in 1952 which set wider horizons and allowed him entry into the Paris arena.
Bardone travelled the world and more particularly Greece. His paintings are a combination of landscapes and still lifes. His landscapes portrait a perception of pure poetical evocation and capture the legacy of impressionists. His still lifes reflect the natural communication between the contemplating eye and the object of contemplation.
