Emmanuel Nassar (b. 1949) Emannuel Nassar graduated in Architecture by the Universidade Federal do Pará. Throughout his career, he held several individual and collective exhibitions. Among others, he participated of the 20th and 24th São Paulo Biennials, in 1989 e 1998, and of the collective UAB-C Stedelijk Museum, in Amsterdam. He entered the Brazilian representation at the Venice Bienniale in 1993. In 2003 and 2004, he held the retrospective A Poesia de Gambiarra, under the curatorship of Denise Mattar, at the CCBB, Rio de Janeiro, at the CCBB, Brasília and in the Instituto Tomie Ohtake, São Paulo. Since 2003, he has been holding several individual exhibitions at the Galeria Millan. His works of art entered impressive collections, such as the Coleção Marcantonio Vilaça, the Fundación Cisneros – Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros (New York, USA; Caracas, Venezuela), the Museu de Arte Moderna – MAM-SP (São Paulo, Brazil), the Museu de Arte Moderna – MAM-RJ (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), the Museu de Arte Contemporânea - MAC Niterói (Niterói, Brazil), the Museu de Arte Contemporânea da Universidade de São Paulo – MAC-USP (São Paulo, Brazil), the Museu do Estado do Pará (Belém, Brazil), and University Essex Museum (England).
